The Kinneret Swimathon begins on Thursday with registration and a “happening” at the Haon hotel, followed by dinner and entertainment for the swimmers. The actual swimathon takes place on Friday morning. The swimathon is comprised of two swimming tracks which both end at the Kinneret -Jordan. The shorter route is 1.9 km and starts at the Maagan Beach. The longer route starts at Haon Beach and is 3.9 km. At the conclusion of the swimathon, breakfast is served and there is a commencement ceremony on Kinneret Jordan Beach.
The registration fee is 400 NIS per swimmer and includes: transportation, a personal kit, festive dinner, insurance, lodging on the Yarden Kinneret beach and breakfast. Hotel accommodation for those who prefer, are an additional (approximately) 320 NIS.
Registration is via our website Swim4Sadna.org and will close on May 15, 2019.
If there is sufficient demand, free transportation will be available to the swimmers. A fee of 50 NIS (per direction) will be charged to non- swimmers and guests. Transportation will only be provided to those who reserve transportation in advance. Reservations can be made during the online registration process. The transportation will pick up passengers at Gush Etzion junction, in Jerusalem, Mishor Adumim, Bakka, Beit Shemesh, Latrun, Kesem junction and Yad Binyamin.
The registration for the swimathon includes accommodation on the Yarden Kinneret Beach, festive evening of dinner and accommodation at Haon Beach. We recommend bringing a sleeping bag and personal necessities. Guests (non-swimmers) will be charged 60NIS for lodging on the beach. The swimathon maintains the highest level of safety procedure and there are life boats along both swimming routes.
Each swimmer must commit to raising a minimum of 2000 NIS via her personal swimmer’s page which was created at the time of the registration. Cash donations may be brought to the swimathon event.
